The address to Hembygdsföreningen is Skyttbacksvägen.
From Uppsala, drive road 290 through Österbybruk and turn right directly after
petrolstation OK-Q8 to Järnvägsgatan, follow the road and turn right after
250 meters at the railway crossing. See sign board. Then follow Skyttbacksvägen along
the railroad to Hembygdsgården, is situated on the right side after
300 meters in a wooden area. From Gimo at road 292, turn right towards Österbybruk, continue to the Bell tower at the left side. Turn
left into Herrgårdsvägen. Follow the road through the Herrgårds area to the railrod crossing.
Hembygdsföreningen is also active at other locations than
Hembygdsgården. A Farming Museum
with an impressive collection of old tractors, agriculture equipment and old
handicraft, is situated centrally in Österbybruk.
The Farming Museum address is Långgatan 5, opposite Vallonsmedjan and behind Ånghammaren. From Uppsala, drive road 290 through Österbybruk,
keep right when the road turns left to Forsmark, after 300 meters the museum is located on the left side of the road. From Gimo on road 292, turn right towards
Österbybruk, continue to Vallonsmedjan, the museum is located on right side of the road.
A Wagon- and Fire Museum with old wagons intended for horses and
fire equipment is situated at Österbybruks Herrgårds old stables. Drive Herrgårdsvägen up to Herrgården, see sign to the
left into the courtyard.
In one of the houses there is a baking facility and bread is being baked preliminary from Friday 26 October to
